Jay Stephenson

JAY STEPHENSON (Anton Schindler) made his BCP debut recently in A Comedy of Tenors. This Canadian, who studied voice at McGill University, moved to Los Angeles where he performed many operatic roles including Aeneas, Belcore, Dandini, Danilo, Don Alfonso, Enrico, Falke, Germont, Gianni Schicchi, Guglielmo, Leoporello, Macbetto, Onegin, Papageno, Renato, Riccardo, Rigoletto, Schaunard, Silvio, Sulpice, Tonio, Valentin, and Zuniga. Since moving to New Jersey, he continues to perform leading roles with ‘boutique’ opera companies. He starred as George R.R. Martin in the offBroadway comedy Game of Thrones: The Musical at The Theatre Center. On film, Jay played the role of Cogsworth in the feature film Once Upon a Time: the Rock Opera that won an award for best ensemble cast at the 2016 Kapow Intergalactic Film Festival in Los Angeles.
